Dear Good Shepherd Family,
We thank you all for your continued prayers, patience, and support during this unique season in the life of the church. We are asking you to persevere with us by following the latest Executive Order (20-81) to require wearing face coverings when we are together for indoor worship. We will continue to maintain a supply of face coverings for anyone in worship without one.
As we move into October and cooler weather, the elders and deacons have found it necessary to make some slight changes to our worship. Most notably, the outdoor service will be discontinued, and we will now have an additional indoor service. For the foreseeable future, these are the worship options (please note the times changes!!):
- Indoor service at 9:00am
- Indoor service at 11:00am
- Livestream of the indoor service at 9:00am
Please note: the indoor services will continue to be limited to approximately 60 people to allow for adequate social distancing. Everyone over 5 years old will need to wear a face mask. There will be some singing in the service, and we will continue to celebrate the Lord’s Supper weekly.
Please also note: the windows in the sanctuary will remain cracked open to provide for greater ventilation. Please remember to dress warmly, especially as we move into the winter months.
In addition, please remember that if you are in a high-risk category or sick, then you should stay home and worship remotely with us on the livestream.
Continue to consider how to bear with one another during these trying times.
First, let us not pass judgment on our brother or despise our brother (Rom. 14:10).
Second, let us practice forbearance with our brothers and sisters in Christ (1 Pet. 3:8; 2 Pet. 3:15). We appeal to your patience as we prayerfully consider how to shepherd you during this time.
Third, consider that God’s Word urges us to forego our freedoms for the way of love, which builds up (1 Cor. 8:1). Let us endure with love for each other as we go through this trial, for the love we give to one another now will help us endure with love as we go through the next trial.
