At Good Shepherd, we believe that we have been blessed in order to be a blessing to others. We who have been reconciled to God through Christ have been given the ministry of reconciliation, and that means preaching, teaching, and demonstrating the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations in accordance with Christ’s commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Therefore, as a church, we are committed to using the gifts God has given us to further the advance of the Gospel. We are seeking to accomplish this in three primary ways: 1) trusting God’s grace and the power of the Holy Spirit to do good works in our local neighborhoods, 2) supporting the work of those called to devote themselves to this ministry in this country and throughout the world, and 3) encouraging members to be involved in missions, whether short-term, part-time, or full-time. Below are some of the ministries and missionaries that we are currently supporting.
