Location

We are located at 15321 Wayzata Blvd, just south of I-394 and Carlson Parkway, very close to the intersection of I-394 and I-494.

Worship Times

We meet for worship twice each Sunday - at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.

Parking

Our main parking lot is on the lower/basement level of the church and it is accessible from Clare Ln. There is also a small, handicap-only parking lot on the main/upstairs level of the church and it is accessible from Wayzata Blvd.

What to Wear

We do not have a dress code at Good Shepherd, and you will likely see a wide variety of attire during our worship services. Some wear dress shirts and ties, some wear business casual, and others wear T-shirts and jeans. Please wear what you consider to be both appropriate and comfortable for yourself.

Children

We love children, and we love to see children worshipping God together with their families. You are more than welcome to keep your children with you during the worship service. We also have a nursery that is available for children from infancy through age three. All of our nursery workers have completed background checks and have gone through required Child Protection training. There is also a room for nursing mothers on the basement level of the church.

Worship Service

Our bulletins contain our liturgy or the plan that we follow during the service. Each service follows a fairly similar flow that includes singing, prayer, the reading and preaching of God's Word, and communion. Overall, our worship services tend to be more traditional. Please visit our Worship page for a more thorough overview. You can view recent worship bulletins here. Typically, the morning worship goes from 9:30 AM to 11 AM. The evening service at 5:00 PM generally lasts about an hour.

Bibles

We have Bibles for everyone to use in the main sanctuary. We ordinarily use the English Standard Version (ESV) during worship, but you are welcome to bring along your preferred version.

Music

Part of our worship includes standing and singing together to God. We ordinarily sing a variety of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs from the revised Trinity Hymnal, accompanied by piano. We invite you to sing along with us, or to silently observe if that is your preference.

The Lord's Supper

At Good Shepherd, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper weekly. You are welcome to participate if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, baptized, and a member in good standing at any Bible believing church. If this does not describe you, we encourage you to observe, pray, and reflect during the time of the Lord’s Supper. Gluten free wafers are available if needed. Please raise your hand during the distribution of the bread and an elder will bring you this option.

Coffee & Fellowship

We encourage everyone to stay at the end of each service for a time of fellowship. There usually are coffee, hot tea, and water available in the lobby. We would love for you to stick around, so that we can get to know you better!

Christian Education

From September through May, we also offer Sunday school classes for every age, from toddlers as young as two years old all the way up through adults. Our Sunday school begins with Song Time at 11:10 AM following the morning service. Sunday school classes follow directly after at 11:25 AM and end at 12:15 PM. Classes for children are broken down into Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten/1st Grade, Young Elementary, Older Elementary, and Jr High/High School. Please visit the Christian Education page for more information.
